Allied Waste recruits college graduates for its management trainee program. As part of the selection process, a potential candidate visits Allied Waste's regional headquarters to participate in panel interviews and a comprehensive skills assessment.

February 20 - University of Montana, Big Sky Career Fair

April 15 - University of Washington, Spring Career Fair

April 30 - May 1 - Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Spring Job Fair

 

Selection Criteria

Each year, a select number of participants are chosen to join the Allied Waste New Manager Trainee Program.

Qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's degree (Undergrads check out our track for Summer Interns.)
  • Strong communication and creative problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated work experience & leadership skills aligned with Trainee Profile

 

Trainee Profile

Candidates for the Program must be team players who value achievement and results. They must also have:
  • A good scholastic record (GPA 3.0 and above)
  • A history of leadership roles in school or the community
  • Ability to analyze problems logically
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A demonstrated interest in driving the management trainee process
  • Skills outlined in the job description for the role of Management Trainee
